Can someone please explain to me why we Indian Orthodox feel the need to welcome our bishops with chaos? What role do hoarsely yelled slogans and marching bands play in a liturgical setting? Do our prelates enjoy stepping out of the car and into this unintelligible mess?

how refreshing it would be if one of the Bishops just stopped and asked the people who they are cheering for? If only we showed that much passion towards understanding the Faith :S
